Hi I'm Fred Rodoni, Owner of the Mermaids House and Owner/Broker of Coastal Marin Real Estate - I’m a fourth generation West Marin native. My office in Pt. Reyes Station is just 3 blocks from the family home where I grew up and where my father still resides. At an early age, I developed a deep love for this area that continues to this day. I enjoy its many treasures, including salmon and halibut fishing in the ocean off the Marin Coast, hiking and biking in the Pt. Reyes National Seashore, and collecting chanterelle mushrooms for a special dinner. No one knows West Marin better.
After attending the University of Hawaii on an athletic scholarship, I graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Political Science. Following a decade working in both construction and painting, I obtained my Broker’s license in 1979. Initially, I worked for Century 21 Bundesen and was a top producing agent before opening my own office in Pt. Reyes Station in 1981. Coastal Marin Real Estate has listed and sold more properties in the Inverness – Pt. Reyes area than any other company over the past twenty five-plus years. Some years we have actually outperformed all the other companies combined.
My wife, Karen, and I raised our two children here and have been active in the community. I was a soccer, basketball, and baseball coach for many years, and Karen was a school volunteer from kindergarten through high school and a 4-H leader. Our daughter, Erin, graduated from UC Berkeley, and our son, Ryan, graduated from UC Santa Cruz. Karen and Ryan are also Real Estate agents and help out with the business.
West Marin is a special market with most properties being quite unique. You definitely need an expert with decades of experience to guide you, whether you’re getting ready to prepare, price, and sell your home, or to purchase one in a good location at the right price.
