From San Francisco, go north on Highway 101 across the Golden Gate Bridge. Stay on Highway 101 for about 10 miles to the Sir Francis Drake-San Anselmo exit. Take Sir Francis Drake west approximately 20 miles - passing through San Anselmo, Fairfax and Samuel P. Taylor State Park - until it intersects with Highway One at Olema. At Olema take a right turn towards Point Reyes Station (about 2 miles). You are now on Highway One (Shoreline Highway). Continue north through Point Reyes Station (last chance for groceries and gas) to Marshall (about 10 miles). The Mermaid's House address is 19835 Highway One. It will be on the left hand side (Tomales Bay Side). It is a blue house with a white roof and a grey fence with porthole windows. Take Interstate 580 west across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. Take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd. exit (the second exit after the bridge). Stay on Sir Francis Drake west approximately 20 miles - passing through San Anselmo, Fairfax and Samuel P. From Vallejo, take California Highway 37 about 20 miles west to the intersection of Highway 101 in Novato. Go north on Highway 101 about 2.5 miles and take the Atherton Avenue-San Marin Drive exit. Turn left onto San Marin Drive and head west for about 2.5 miles to the junction with Novato Blvd. Turn right onto Novato Blvd. and proceed west for about 6 miles to the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road. Turn left and follow the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road southwest for about 7 miles to the junction with Platform Bridge Road. Turn right to stay on the Point Reyes-Petaluma Road and continue west for about 3 miles to the junction with Highway One near the town of Point Reyes Station. Turn right onto Highway One and head north for about 10 miles. (For Groceries or Gas turn left to head into Point Reyes Station) The Mermaid's House address is 19835 Highway One. From Highway 101 take the Washington Street exit in Petaluma, head west on Washington Street.  Washington Street becomes Bodega Avenue. Follow Bodega Avenue for approximately 8 miles. Make a soft left turn onto the Tomales/Petaluma Road. (Towards the Coast Guard Station and the town of Tomales). Continue until you intersect with Highway One. Turn left onto Highway One and head south for about 7 miles. The Mermaid's House address is 19835 Highway One. It will be on the right hand side (Tomales Bay Side).
